Statement of Purpose
A WORSHIPING PEOPLE
What God desires most of us is that we worship Him in spirit and in truth through Jesus Christ and His shed blood upon the cross. To that end we want the most important time of our week to be the time when we come before Him individually in personal devotions, as families in regular family worship, and in corporate worship in the Lord’s Day. In our singing, praying, and preaching, teaching, offerings, and administering the Lord’s Supper and Baptism, we want to manifest to the world that because of His grace God is among us.

A GOSPEL-MINDED PEOPLE
We wish to be a people who reveal the Gospel from the pulpit and from our lips in everyday living. Paul says in Col. 1:28, "We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ." May we be people who have the heart and goal of reaching the world through the true Gospel message.

AN EVANGELIZING PEOPLE
Jesus commissioned us to "go into all the world to preach the Gospel." As missionaries to unbelievers both domestic and foreign, we want to be concerned for our neighbors and friends and the eternal state of their bodies and souls. May we urge those around us that salvation from sin and death comes only through faith in Jesus Christ and repentance from sin.

A WELCOMING PEOPLE
This is God’s church, and He commands all people to praise Him. There are no ethnic, racial, social, or physical restrictions to membership. We desire to worship and serve the Lord Jesus Christ and to make all people welcome as visitors and hopefully later as professing members.

A FAMILY-MINDED PEOPLE
In our time, Satan’s greatest attack has been on families. As God’s people, we commit ourselves to upholding the scriptural teaching on the family. To that end we will pray and work toward the protection of the family, to foster godly relationships within and between all family members, friends, and singles, and to provide and environment for our children to grow into mature Christians.

A GUIDED AND HARMONIOUS PEOPLE
God has appointed pastors, elders and deacons for guiding believers by preaching, teaching, Bible study, prayer, discussion, visitation, discipline, brotherly love and concern.

GOD'S SERVANTS
When we serve others we serve the Lord. We should serve first those of the household of faith and then the rest of the world. This congregation has no single minister, because all members are ministers of Christ. We as a congregation want to be sensitive to the Lord’s leading, looking to build up, encourage and support one another.

AN INSTRUCTED PEOPLE
God commended the people of Berea because they studied the Scriptures to see "if these things be so." We desire to be a people who are instructed in the Lord by the Holy Spirit through the BIBLE. The Constitution of the Reformed Presbyterian Church contains a summary of what we understand the BIBLE to principally to teach concerning our faith and life. We wish to mature in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ, so that we are able to discern and approve that which is excellent and hate that which is evil.

A KINGDOM-ORIENTED PEOPLE
It is our desire to see Jesus Christ recognized as the exalted King of kings in our personal life, family life, worship, work, political life, culture, nation and the world. We pray and labor for the day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

A VISION FOR THE METROPOLITAN AREA
Because we live at the doorstep of a great international city, we desire to be used of the Lord in the metropolitan area. We desire to be used to form sister churches in this area, for the salvation of people and the furtherance of the kingdom of God.
